Mid-Ohio Radio Kontrol Society, better known as M.O.R.K.S. is an AMA Chartered Radio Control Aircraft Club in Marysville, Ohio. The club was established in the early 1970's and since then we have maintained a positive presence in the RC community and the Local community.
While not a dominate hobby and sport in the Marysville community, radio control (RC) modeling is an activity that is older than aviation itself. MORKS is still an active modeling club. Model aviation is not only a sport and hobby, but also a fantastic educational opportunity for children, youth, and adults of all ages. RC modeling is a hobby that affords members the opportunity to learn many scientific, mathematic, and engineering facts and skills. Participants also get to take what is learned and put it into practical application.
As you can see, model aviation are far more than just a hobby and MORKS desires to become more than just a model aviation club. MORKS desires to serve the community through aeronautical education, along with providing a positive outlet for youth. Today we have over 20 active flying members. Members range from beginner pilots to fairly advanced pilots, flying glow, gasoline, and electric aircraft.We invite anyone who would like to fly, learn to fly, or just watch to make arrangements to visit with us at Our New Field.
